Responsibilities

Essential Functions

 

  • Ensures that all aspects of programs under direct and indirect supervision are conducted in accordance with State, Medicaid, Joint Commission, Medicare, and all other standards associated with the organization.
  • Directs and organizes program activities.
  • Meets weekly with Nurse manager to assure that clinic is being run to standards.
  • Writes program narratives, contracts, procedures and grants on a timely manner, as applicable.
  • Establishes program goals and objectives that support the organization's strategic plan.
  • Assures that program standards and objectives are met.
  • Leads the program planning, development and implementation.
  • Identifies problems, evaluates alternatives and implements effective solutions.
  • Monitors program contracts and budget.
  • Ensures programs are running efficiently and communicates information to staff regarding policies, procedures, and changes within the company and governing agencies.
  • Monitors case loads and productivity of staff to ensure appropriateness and timeliness of closures if appropriate.
  • Ensures that staff provides quality services that meet medical necessity.
  • Regularly monitors the documentation of staff to ensure adherence to all governing standards of the organization by completing audits of at least 1 chart per staff member per month; follows up to ensure corrections are completed.
  • Conducts staffings as needed; interacts with staff frequently.
  • Ensures documentation in all programs is submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with standards.
  • Monitors treatment plan review reports and oversees the completion of reviews in a timely manner; provides justification for any overdue reviews.
  • Approves treatment plans.
  • Completes treatment plan reviews as needed.
  • Provides staff coverage for crisis intervention, demonstrates ability to recognize and deescalate crisis and provide intervention in the absence of available staff.
  • Completes intakes as needed and assists with consumers if needed in the absence of therapists.
  • Effectively collaborates with other AltaPointe program coordinators and oustide sources, adheres to transfer policy/protocol.
  • Provides supervision for practicum and intern students when applicable.
  • Effectively demonstrates the application of adult/child & adolescent specific competencies.
  • Interviews and screens applicants when necessary and completes appropriate forms as outlined by Personnel Policy and Procedures.
  • Provides training in general orientation of the facility, policies and procedures, program operations and specific skill areas.
  • Completes API daily.
  • Verifies mileage reimbursements are valid and supporting documentation present.
  • Is knowledgeable and applies personnel policies and procedures on a consistent basis.
  • Objectively, completes employee performance evaluations on supervised staff and routes to Personnel Department on a timely basis.
  • Provides and documents supervision in accordance with standards.
  • Promotes concept of treatment teams and acts as a member of treatment team.
  • Provides positive and effective leadership.
  • Provides staff with consultation and supervision as needed, individually or through group staff meetings.
  • Ensures competence of staff.
  • Monitors staff work activities to ensure that they are performing all duties as assigned.
  • Promotes the 5 Star program.
  • Provides training and education for staff to ensure competency in treatment.
  • Seeks clinical supervision and consultation as needed.
  • Accepts and employs suggestions for improvement
  • Actively works to enhance clinical and leadership skills.
  • Treats consumers with care, dignity and compassion.
  • Respects consumer's privacy and confidentiality.
  • Is pleasant and cooperative with others.
  • Assists consumers and visitors as needed.

  • Follows AltaPointe policies and procedures.
  • Maintains current license and requirements for renewals (i.e. CEU's), if applicable, and attends regular workshops and in-services.
  • Adheres to professional code of ethics.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a mental health discipline with at least two years post-Master's experience.

Licensure--LPC, LCSW or LMFT.
