General Responsibilities

  1. Provides administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Environment of Care.
  2. Makes copies, faxes documents, sends emails, writes letters and performs other related administrative duties as needed
  3. Adheres to 5 Star Customer Service guidelines when dealing with co-workers, patients and vendors
  4. Takes minutes and provides electronic correspondence as needed
  5. Coordinates and schedules meetings
  6. Maintains files on properties, vehicles and related items

 Additional job duties as follows:

  1. Maintains the electronic MSDS Online system
  2. Updates the EOC AltaLink page
  3. Schedules EOC functions for the department and committee
  4. Assist with updating and monitoring the Plan for the Management of the Environment of Care
  5. Assist with processing EOC periodic assessments
  6. Travels between facilities as needed
  7. Maintains vendor information such as insurance, workman’s comp and tax forms
  8. Maintains Software related to the EOC Department and enters work orders
  9. Assists with development of training and education materials


High School Diploma. Must have a valid driver’s license valid in the State of Alabama. Must be 23 years of age or older and must have proof of current liability insurance. Must have the ability to communicate verbally, withstand continual deadlines, concentrate and maintain accuracy in spite of frequent interruptions.

Knowledge of the following must be demonstrated:

  • Basic clerical skills.
  • Use of standard office equipment including computers, photocopy and facsimile machines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
