  • Responsibilities

    Manage and oversee all aspects of the unified communication systems, teleconference, telehealth, communication policies, vendor management, maintenance and troubleshooting.

    1. Engage in regular communications troubleshooting activities and resolve issues.
    2. Works with CIO in the planning and delivery of telecommunication projects and services.
    3. Research, implement and maintain the latest advances in unified communications with best practices for current and future growth.
    4. Develop and administer telecommunication policies and procedures in compliance with local, State and Federal government regulations.
    5. Works with carrier providers of telecommunications circuits not limited to, SIP Trunks, PRIs, and POTS.
    6. Ensure that all systems perform at optimum levels.
    7. Provides support for operation, and maintenance of VOIP phone system including managed configuration changes, voicemail, phone configurations and software upgrades.
    8. Maintains comprehensive documentation describing the communications systems layout and operational considerations.
    9. Proactive monitoring of the unified communications systems for any and all issues
    10. Prepare a project plan for integrating new systems and the updates of existing systems.
    11. Responsible for product lifecycle management, firmware, and inventory of systems.

    Manage the video conferencing solution to meet the needs of the company.

    1. Manage the proper configuration of equipment and procedures for troubleshooting video equipment
    2. Provide for the management of scheduled video sessions and monitor such sessions for clarity and user experience
    3. Provide for the training of end users on video equipment
    4. Provide remote support for contracted providers and outside agencies utilizing VC equipment

    Management of enterprise fax server solution

    1. Implement fax services in support of company efficiencies
    2. Setup and configure fax services for MFC devices
    3. Setup and configure fax services clients/agents
    4. Consolidate legacy fax services and migrate over to fax server solution

    Other duties as deemed necessary should include, but are not limited to the following:

    1. Assist in OS upgrades of communication switches and equipment.
    2. Participates in IT team meetings and initiatives.
    3. Participates in the strategic planning process for IT.
    4. Participates on committees deemed necessary to support standards and accreditations.
    5. Provides application training when deemed necessary.
    6. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor or Associate Degree preferred. 5 years or more of experience in telecommunications or computer information systems accepted in lieu of degree with a combination of Training, Certifications and progressive relevant work experience in the area of Unified Communications Administration. Comprehensive knowledge of telecommunications operations and related equipment, plus a demonstrated proficiency in administering communications systems. Candidate should have experience deploying and managing VOIP, mobile solutions and video conferencing communication integration. Ability to communicate effectively with others.
