Responsibilities

Supervise application development and support team

  1. Supervise development and support staff.
  2. Assist team in problem solving and troubleshooting.
  3. Provide mentorship to development staff.
  4. Perform performance reviews and give feedback to staff.
  5. Collaborate and develop relationships with third party vendors.
  6. Serve as escalation point for resolving issues internally and with vendors.

Be part of company initiatives

  1. Learn AltaPointe business processes and organizational needs.
  2. Represent and promote our solutions, technologies and skills to different department and company.
  3. Participate in departmental and module focus groups to evaluate the effectiveness of current applications and determine need for future applications or enhancements.
  4. Responsible for integrity and policy compliance related to new enhancements, developments or changes.

Project involvements

  1. Review requirements and estimates for all incoming projects.
  2. Assist in developing the project scope.
  3. Assist in developing internal project benchmarks related to the development, testing, and training.
  4. Manage the resources and project schedule.
  5. Coordinate and assist in the analysis, development, and testing for the project applications.
  6. Manage and facilitate collaboration with third party vendors, interface engineers.
  7. Supervise documentation of findings, results, and modification of project progress.
  8. Communicate with senior department management and staff on progress and barriers related to a successful implementation.
  9. Engineer successful execution and timely completion of projects.

Contribute to the application development

  1. Supervise development of enterprise grade web and other applications.
  2. Contribute to application developments.
  3. Define programming standards and best practices.
  4. Lead code reviews.
  5. Contribute to architectural vision of application development.
  6. Identify emerging technologies and trends.
  7. Develop documentation standards and help in maintaining documentation for the applications.

Other IT duties as deemed necessary should include but not be limited to the following

  1. Test and document compliance related to MIS policy and procedure.
  2. Assist in system(s) evaluations with other IT staff.
  3. Participate in IT team meetings and initiatives.
  4. Participate in the strategic planning process for IT.
  5. Participate on and chair committees deemed necessary to support standards and accreditations.
  6. Assist in providing training when deemed necessary.
  7. Participate in Orientation Training for IT.
  8. Provide application training when deemed necessary.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Business. 5-7 years’ experience in application planning, development, installation, and training; possess full stack development capability; Experience in managing and supervising a development team is a must; Experience in using OOP, OOD, c#, ASP.net, MFC, SQL server, SSIS, SSRS, BI, Crystal reports etc; task-oriented, good communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; knowledge and experience working in behavioral healthcare or healthcare is preferred
