Adult Outpatient Programs provide the least restrictive level of care where adults may receive clinical interventions aimed at decreasing existing signs and symptoms. Outpatient treatment focuses on recovery, problem resolution, symptom reduction, stabilization and/or prevention of movement to a higher level of care. Treatment varies widely and depends upon the consumer’s presenting symptoms.
Evaluates the consumer for discharge planning
Adheres to professional code of ethics
Effectively demonstrates the application of substance abuse specific competencies
Provides HIV/AIDS education and counseling, when necessary
Physical Requirements of the Job:
Master’s degree in a mental health discipline with two years of substance abuse experience
NAADAC, AADAA, or IC&RC certification within two years of employment upon hire
LPC, LICSW, LMFT with two years of substance abuse experience preferred
Valid drivers license with proof of liability insurance.
