  • Responsibilities

    • Responsible for processing insurance claims for all center facilities
    • File claims in a timely manner
    • Perform follow-up procedures to ensure claims are paid
    • Perform follow-up procedures on rejections to research potential issues and solutions
    • Contact satellite offices to obtain all necessary information to process claims
    • Obtain signatures on insurance vouchers when applicable
    • Prepare electronic files for claims submission
    • Prepare and mail manual insurance claims
    • Responsible for maintaining accounts receivable records
    • Accurate and timely posting of payments to client’s ledger to reflect correct account balance through payments and adjustments
    • Post required internal insurance receipt reports
    • Key updated insurance information into accounts receivable system
    • Seeks supervision and consultation as needed
    • Accepts and employs suggestions for improvement
    • Actively works to enhance skills
    • Courteous and respectful towards consumers, visitors and co-workers
    • Treats consumers with care, dignity, compassion and respect
    • Respects consumers’ privacy and confidentiality

    • Receives and responds to inquiries of accounting matters promptly and courteously
    • Assists with performance of duties of other accounting staff in periods of absence
    • Performs other duties as assigned


    Experience with insurance billing, (BCBS, Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid) required.  In-patient and out-patient billing experience a plus. Working knowledge of accounts receivable processes and strong computer skills required. Data Entry experience, payment reconciliation experience preferred.
