  • Responsibilities

    System Operations and Support

    1. Provide for the maintaining of system updates, upgrades, and licensing for all localized servers and workstations.
    2. Ensure that all systems perform at optimum levels (system user response, disk allocation, memory optimization).
    3. Perform daily system monitoring of all hardware, server resources, and key processes.
    4. Review system and application logs to verify schedule jobs are completed.
    5. Maintaining a comprehensive backup solution securing the timely restoration of critical systems.
    6. Provide for and support hardware and software issues in an effective and expeditious manner utilizing an automated helpdesk ticket system.
    7. Provide level 2 support to the helpdesk team for systems and/or applications.
    8. Prepare a schedule and plan for integrating new systems and the updates of existing systems.
    9. Interface with vendors and procurement to spec, purchase, and maintain hardware, licensing, and warranty information for systems hardware and software.
    10. Adding, removing or updating user account information, reset passwords.
    11. Manage Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure environments. 

    Maintenance and Security

    1. Provide for a system of security to protect access and usage of the systems employed.
    2. Manage and update the policies that govern Active Directory and system access.
    3. Create a secured remote access solution to be utilized upon request.
    4. Apply OS patches and upgrades on a schedule basis.
    5. Work with appropriate teams to coordinate a schedule maintenance plan for systems.
    6. Perform periodic performance and capacity planning reports.
    7. Maintain data center environmental and monitoring.
    8. Provide for an auditing process of directory systems.

    Other IT duties as deemed necessary should include, but are not limited to the following:

    1. Assist in the configuration of wireless and portable devices.
    2. Assist in OS upgrades of work station devices
    3. Participates in IT team meetings and initiatives.
    4. Participates in the strategic planning process for IT.
    5. Participates on committees deemed necessary to support standards and accreditations.
    6. Participates in orientation training for IT, if deemed necessary.
    7. Provides application training when deemed necessary.
    8. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

    Administrative and other related duties as assigned.

    1. Actively participates in Performance Improvement activities.
    2. Actively participates in AltaPointe committees as requested.
    3. Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner.
    4. Treats consumers with dignity and respect.
    5. Works in a cooperative manner with other AltaPointe employees.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor or Associate Degree, with at least 6 years of experience as a System Administrator.

    Microsoft Certification MCSA or MCSE preferred.

    Experience in designing, building and supporting VMware virtualization environments, and Storage solutions.

    Ability to effectively manage Microsoft Active Directory services including; DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, DFS, IIS, File Server administration.

    Experience with PowerShell and other forms of scripting.

    Knowledgeable of network protocols, IPv4/6 and VLANs.

    Experience managing desktop OS deployment, asset management, Exchange, Citrix configuration and support.

    Strong communication skills required.
