  • Overview

    Adult Outpatient Programs provide the least restrictive level of care where adults may receive clinical interventions aimed at decreasing existing signs and symptoms. Outpatient treatment focuses on recovery, problem resolution, symptom reduction, stabilization and/or prevention of movement to a higher level of care. Treatment varies widely and depends upon the consumer’s presenting symptoms.

    Responsibilities

    Supervises Operations:

    • Ensures that all aspects of program are conducted in accordance with State, Medicaid, Joint Commission, Medicare, and all other standards associated with the organization.
    • Writes program narratives, contracts, procedures and grants in a timely manner, as applicable
    • Establishes program goals and objectives that support the organization’s strategic plan
    • Leads the program planning, development and implementation
    • Identifies problems, evaluates alternatives and implements effective solutions
    • Promotes 5 Star program
    • Monitors program budgets
    • Ensures program is running efficiently and communicates information to staff regarding policies, procedures, and changes within the company and governing agencies
    • Ensures referrals received from Franklin staff are processed in a timely manner and documentation  completed and provided back to Franklin as to outcome
    • Completes intakes and brief screenings with consumers as requested by Franklin staff
    • Provides therapy as indicated
    • Collaborates with Franklin staff, attend meetings as needed
    • Coordinates scheduling with Office Practice Manager as needed
    • Provides coverage for crisis intervention, demonstrates ability to recognize and deescalate crisis and provide intervention as needed
    • Approves Treatment plans and completes Treatment Plan Reviews as assigned
    • Effectively collaborates with other Alta Pointe program coordinators and outside sources, adheres to transfer policy/protocol.
    • Effectively demonstrates the application of adult specific competencies
    • Interviews and screens applicants when necessary and completes appropriate forms as outlined by Personnel Policy and Procedures
    • Provides training in the general orientation of the facility, policies and procedures, program operations and specific skill areas
    • Is knowledgeable and applies personnel policies and procedures on a consistent basis
    • Objectively completes employee performance evaluations on supervised staff and routes to Personnel Department on a timely basis
    • Provides positive and effective leadership
    • Ensures staff receive trainings and education to attain competency in treatment
    • Monitors staff work activities to ensure that they are performing all duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Master’s degree in a mental health discipline with at least two years post-Master’s experience.

    Must possess licensure (LPC, LICSW, or LMFT).
