The Coordinator, Adult Community Services position supervises a variety of community-based programs, including both single apartments and congregate housing with case management support, and homeless outreach. These service options help AltaPointe’s adult, outpatient consumers move forward in their recovery, access local resources to meet their unique needs, achieve a better quality of life and function as independently as possible in their community.
AltaPointe provides homes to approximately 50 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community. Children's Outpatient Services provides treatment for children and adolescents and their families and is intended to improve and maintain a child’s or an adolescent’s stability in the community. Treatment focuses on problem resolution, symptom reduction, stabilization and/or prevention of movement to a higher level of care. Services include individual, family and group therapy, medication evaluation and management, case management, in home intervention, case consultation and summer day treatment services. The type of treatment is highly variable and depends upon the individual’s existing symptoms and developmental level.

The West Mobile Academy is a classroom and day treatment program, housed at BayPointe Hospital, developed to meet the educational and therapeutic needs of severely emotionally disturbed students K-12 who are unable to maintain appropriate behaviors in a Mobile County Public School setting.
