Adult Outpatient Programs provide the least restrictive level of care where adults may receive clinical interventions aimed at decreasing existing signs and symptoms. Outpatient treatment focuses on recovery, problem resolution, symptom reduction, stabilization and/or prevention of movement to a higher level of care. Treatment varies widely and depends upon the consumer’s presenting symptoms.

They assess clients' mental health needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy to help manage conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or trauma and co-occurring substance use disorders. The therapist ensures clients follow their treatment plan, including medication, and monitors progress to prevent re-hospitalization. AltaPointe provides homes to approximately 50 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community.  Our six group homes in West Mobile and Semmes offer a safe, supportive community atmosphere with various levels of independence.  These programs work in conjunction with Day Programs, Supportive Employment, Recreation, and Family Support to provide a comprehensive continuum of high-quality care and services.

AltaPointe’s Adult Residential Services are designed for consumers with serious and persistent mental illness who require social rehabilitation and community support. Combining medical, nursing and clinical services, our staff provides care and treatment for more than 200 adults in need of intensive service provision. The Adult Residential Services Program consists of group homes, which are supervised 24 hours/day when consumers are on the premises.  Expected outcomes are the same for each adult group home: to prevent re-hospitalization and to maximize and maintain successful community placement. Residential care focuses on the rehabilitation and return to the community of seriously mentally ill consumers.

Substance abuse assessment, treatment and referrals will be provided to those recently released from state prisons through the Day Reporting Center in the Alabama Pardons and Parole office.  Former inmates come typically everyday to receive services such as GED preparation, substance abuse and mental health treatment, or assistance with employment.

Children's Outpatient Services provides treatment for children and adolescents and their families and is intended to improve and maintain a child’s or an adolescent’s stability in the community. Treatment focuses on problem resolution, symptom reduction, stabilization and/or prevention of movement to a higher level of care. Services include individual, family and group therapy, medication evaluation and management, case management, in home intervention, case consultation and summer day treatment services. The type of treatment is highly variable and depends upon the individual’s existing symptoms and developmental level.

BayView Professional Associates help individuals and families dealing with emotional or psychological issues that interfere with their ability to function in their day-to-day living. Our professional clinicians assess our patients’ concerns and then determine the appropriate treatment or referral. The Bayview Therapist utilizes best practice clinical interventions to address both mental health and substance abuse problems.  Through various psychotherapeutic strategies the clinician and the client engage to provide relief from their presenting symptoms.
